The Latino Chamber and Haas Technical Writing, a new Latino Chamber member, have teamed up to bring you the Business Technical Writing Workshop. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, September 18th from 11:00am - 12:00pm at the Latino Chamber office. In case you cannot attend in person, there will also be a virtual option to join the workshop via Zoom. The Zoom link is listed below.
If you are a small business or an organization looking to improve your business processes, standard operating procedures, policies, or handbooks, this workshop will be a huge help to you. Even if you are looking for additional information on any form of technical writing for your business, we encourage you to attend.
During the workshop Haas Technical Writing will cover the following:
1. Most important operating procedures of an organization
-Processes that work well
-Processes many organizations follow
-Areas employees struggle with most
-Areas in a process that need improvement
2. Technology being used with processes
-Technologies most helpful to an organization
-Technologies that do not exist yet
-How to implement a new process with technology
3. Implementation of processes, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
-Examples of documents an organization should have
-Ways to document a process, policy, or SOP
-How to implement and change a process, policy, or SOP
-How to make a process, policy, or SOP scalable
At the end of the workshop, Haas Technical Writing will also be answering any questions as well as walking through any additional items you would like to see.
